Aquamassage

Aquamassage is a massage system which places warm water-filled cushions on top of a beauty therapy couch. Your entire massage is carried out while you are face-up, laying on your back.
Using oil your therapist will slide their hands between you and the cushions to give you your massage. You will have a lumbar support under your knees which will allow you to lay in complete spinal alignment. As there is no need to turn over during the treatment it is comfortable during pregnancy or if you have mobility difficulties. During pregnancy the massage table is tilted upwards so that the weight of the baby does not place pressure on internal organs or arteries. This also prevents blood pressure from dropping.
A five minute mini head massage or facial massage is included with the treatment.
This treatment is relaxing and gentle yet still effective in reducing tension and toxin build up in the muscles. Ideal for Fibromyalgia sufferers, chronic pain syndrome, MS, Ehler's danlos syndrome and many more conditions.
Aquamassage is one of the most relaxing massage techniques that you will probably ever experience. Once you have tried it you will wonder why you didn't try it sooner.

Back Neck and Shoulder Aquamassage
In this 30 minutes you will receive a blissful back, neck and shoulders Aquamassage, which will include your choice of head massage or facial massage. This massage is completely safe and comfortable in pregnancy.

Full Body Aquamassage
In this 60 minutes you will receive a warming and relaxing foot cleanse, followed by a strong leg massage which will assist circulation and reduce any swelling.

Next up is a soothing arm and hand massage which will assist in relieving any tension built up in the biceps and hands.
​
This is then followed by an abdominal massage which will aid digestion and reduce bloating.
Finally finishing off with a blissful back, neck and shoulder Aquamassage, which will include your choice of head massage or facial massage. The neck stretch that is featured in the head massage is a firm favourite and will leave you feeling relaxed yet invigorated.
Swedish Massage
This type of massage involves working the soft tissue of the body, to ease day-to-day stresses and muscular tension, and it of course promotes relaxation.

Massage helps to increase the delivery of blood and oxygen to the treated areas and also helps to remove toxins from the body.
​
By stretching, kneading and using strong strokes to warm the body, the muscles are then able to respire aerobically instead of anaerobically which prevents lactic acid build up. Put more simply, the muscles are able to breathe effectively and therefore won't cramp and spasm as they did when lactic acid had built up in the muscles. Lactic acid is what is produced sometimes when you run and you feel pain and get a "stitch" in your side.

Our full body massages really do mean full body. You get to enjoy a top to toe pamper starting with a relaxing and soothing warm foot cleanse. This Express Facial may only last 30 minutes but thanks to our use of the Aquamassage system it will seem like longer. The Aqua cushion allows you to feel warm, snug and secure which will in turn allow you to feel maximum relaxation. Great for when you are running short on time; want to sneak it into your lunch break or if you would like to add this on to another treatment.

Hopi Ear Candling
​
Hopi Ear Candling or Thermal Auricular therapy is thought to date back to Ancient Greek times. The therapy works when a specially made hollow candle is placed in to the ear and the end is lit by a flame. As the candle burns down and produces heat, a vacuum is achieved which pulls and draws out impurities such as; congestion, fluid and small amounts of earwax.

What to expect from your treatment.
​
During the treatment you will lay on your side and a towel will be used to cover your hair to keep it away from the candle flame. You will have a blanket and some soothing music. When the candle is lit you will experience a warm feeling in your ear with crackling sounds as the candle burns down and the ingredients vaporise. It is possible that you may experience a blocked feeling in your ear and this will clear within 30 seconds.
​
The ingredients of the candle vaporise mainly as ash and the internal filter in the candle will prevent any ash or beeswax from entering the ear. It will take between 10 to 13 minutes for the candle to burn down and this is then extinguished into a bowl of water.
Once both candles have burnt down you will receive a facial massage and a mini head massage to aid with clearing the sinuses.

CND SHELLAC®
CND Shellac power polish paints like a nail polish but cures like a gel polish, it's better for your nails compared to other gel brands as there is no buffing of the nail plate before application or after removal. Just to make sure, all Shellac customers will be supplied with a complimentary bottle of Solar Oil to use at home which will keep the natural nail bed moisturised and protected.
​
The removal time is faster than a gel polish manicure as Shellac is a hybrid of gel polish and nail polish. This means it can be painted on thinner, cured quicker and then removed quicker.
​
CND Shellac looks more natural than other brands of gel polish as it is not as thick and does not make the nails look odd.

Waxing
Whether you're an occassional waxer or frequent flyer, we have the perfect waxing products for you.

Our Roller Wax System ensures a more hygienic waxing experience, each customer receives their own wax cartridge and roller head, these are new for each treatment. We only use wax that is suitable for sensitive skin too. The Roller Wax System uses warm wax and we tend to use this for less delicate and larger areas such as legs, arms, back and chest.
​
For the more sensitive areas such as bikini line, underarm and facial waxing we use hot wax as it is easier to work with and ultimately less painful for you.
​
Because of the time that it takes for the wax pot to heat up, it is preferred that waxing treatments take place at Worthing Osteopathic and Wellbeing Clinic or at our home salon in Barton Close. If you would like to discuss your waxing options in more depth feel free to get in contact.

Georgia Thomas of La Vita Bella has had a qualification in Studex ear piercing and has had a studex universal ear piercing system for some time. Georgia has been piercing ears for friends and family members with great results and with no reported discomfort for a couple of years now. La Vita Bella has now been granted an ear piercing license from Worthing Borough council. We are permitted to pierce ears at our Home Salon, at Worthing Osteopathic and Wellbeing Clinic and on occasion we can offer a mobile service. This means that you have the best flexibility for your appointment needs. Each of these settings are laid back for you or your child so that you may feel as relaxed as possible. You will never be made to feel rushed or pressured. As a Mum of 3, Aunty of 7, honorary Aunty of 7 and Godmother of 2, Georgia has a lot of experience with children and helping them to feel comfortable.

The Studex Piercing earrings are hypoallergenic, guaranteeing a safe piercing for you or your child. The gold plated earrings are manufactured with a surgical grade of stainless steel, plated in 24ct Gold. Studex Stainless Steel earrings are manufactured to a surgical grade, often used for medical purposes such as surgical implants and therefore unlikely to cause any reaction.

You won't have to pay for your piercing but will have a number of starter kits available to choose. The starter kits include your choice of earrings and then a bottle of aftercare solution with aftercare instructions. Georgia will go through everything with you before and after your piercing and you will have a paper copy of your aftercare instruction.
​
Children and young adults under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian present at the appointment. A consultation form and consent form/permission form will also need to be filled out and signed by both parent and child before the piercing can take place. Adults over 18 will need to fill out a consultation form.
