Consultation Forms
All new customers will need to fill in a consultation form prior to treatment. The consultation form will ask for important medical information or allergies that may affect your treatment. If you would like a copy in advance please email me and I will be happy to send you a copy.
If you have any allergies then it is worth phoning or emailing in advance so that I can check that my products are safe for you.
Treatment Contraindications
Sometimes there are certain illness or conditions that will prevent me from being able to perform a treatment due to health and safety reasons. These are known as contraindications. Here are some of the contraindications that may prevent treatment:-
-
Conjunctivitis
-
Herpes Simplex (Coldsore)
-
Impetigo
-
Ringworm
-
Headlice
-
Veruccas or Warts
-
Scabies

For a full list of contraindications and we will send you a client consultation form for you to have a look at in advance of your treatment.
Treatment Restrictions
There are some contraindications that may restrict a treatment instead of preventing it all together (it depends entirely on the treatment involved). For example if you have a verruca, I will not be able to perform a pedicure for you but I may still be able to perform other treatments such as a full body massage (as long as a sock is kept on the affected foot). Even if you think you may have one of the contraindications outlined above, it is always worth asking me to see if there are any changes that we can make in order to adapt the treatment instead of preventing it fully.
For example I may be able to adapt treatments to help with the following problems, please discuss when making your booking
-
Broken bones
-
Allergies
-
Low blood pressure
In some circumstances I may ask you to get a letter from your midwife, doctor or nurse so that I can be sure if a treatment is safe for you, for example:-
-
If you are pregnant and have a history of difficult pregnancies or miscarriage.
-
Cancer
-
Diabetes
-
Rheuamatoid Arthritis
-
Heart conditions
